Your first recording

From click to MP4 in under two minutes.

1. Pick what to record

Press ⇧⌘2 to open the recording bar and choose Display, Window or Area (or press 1, 2 or 3). The microphone is on once macOS allows it; switch system audio or your camera on if you want them.

2. Record

Press Record or Enter. After the countdown Dolly starts. Use your computer as you normally would. Your cursor is recorded separately, so Dolly can redraw it smoothly later.

3. Stop

Press ⇧⌘2 again, or click stop in the floating pill. The editor opens with zooms already in place. Want a link instead? Set After recording to Get link and the link is on your clipboard the moment you stop.

4. Export

Press ⌘E (or click Export), pick a size, frame rate and shape, and press ⌘E again to save the MP4. ⇧⌘E copies it to your clipboard instead.
